Adenoid hypertrophy : It certainly is possible that enlarged adenoids would contribute to nasal breathing difficulties. Sometimes, adenoids can become chronically infected and can provide a reservoir for infection that could cause problems with ear infections and sometimes sinus infections. You might need them evaluated and removed again.
