Strained achilles and orth doctor wrapped foot/told him bad idea. foot is very swollen and yellow/black/blue. ice is making it worse. can't see ankle bones. so much pain. neuropthy worsening?

Bad sprain: Sounds like a bad sprain or tear (discoloration implies bleeding or bruising)...Go back to your orthopedist for a re-check.

Achilles: Wrapping it is not a bad idea compression to stabilize the tendon and limit rom is important. Might be to tight for cause of neuropathy or are you diabetic.

Xray: U need an x-ray and probably MRI as well.
