Your are right : Tramadol has opiate like properties & causes euphoric effects similar effects to other habit forming opiates. Recommend tapering as low as you can. See your dr. Who may prescribe Clonidine & other short-term medications for control of withdrawal symptoms. In more severe cases consultation with an addiction specialist & rapid Buprenorphine detox may be very beneficial.

If you are addicted to tramadol, you would need to be weaned or detoxed off tramadol. It is not recommended to do it one your own. Please see your doctor.
