Scoliosis: At times when there is a leg length discrepancy it is due to a pelvic tilt from scoliosis which can give rise to intermittent and chronic low back pain. A word to the wise- be mindful of posture and position with proper back biomechanics and strengthening of the core. Hopefully this will prevent episodes of low back pain and will keep your weight down. Ask your doc about a scoliosis survey.

Yes : Unequal leg length can cause back pain or sacro-iliac joint related pain. See your health care provider. You may need a heal lift or other treatment (s).

Sometimes: Sometimes the difference in leg length contributes to back pain. The easy way to figure out whether this is the case for you is to spend some time wearing a lift to even out the leg length difference and see if you feel better. Many causes of back pain respond to core strengthening and hamstring stretches.
