Have possible calf muscle strain. have elevated and iced nearly 24 hrs. now seeing a vein popped out running down lower leg. am i treating this right?

Blood clot: If you have calf swelling and pain, you really should be checked out to make sure you don't have a blood clot. If that test is normal, then rest, ice and some physical therapy should allow the calf to return to normal.

Agree! Also, another possible diagnosis could be a superficial phlebitis causing both the pain and the bulging vein. An ultrasound will rule out anything very bad.
