A member asked:

Is sinus tachycardia dangerous? is it permanent? blood tests+eco were ok

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Physiologic basis: Sinus tach is usually a compensatory reaction to a physiologic stressors. It runs the gamut from appropriate response (examples-physical stress, anemia, pain, shortness of breath, fever, anxiety, excessive thyroid) to inappropriate states (excessive sympathetic tone with no physiologic basis--example pots). A normal set of heart tests suggests that unusual cardiopulmonary stress is not present.
