A member asked:

Ive been diagnosed with inappropriate sinus tachycardia. i was prescribed midodrine. i was told the tachycardia is a reaction and they think its from low blood pressure. is this dangerous? pacemaker? heart problems?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Inappropriate sinus tachycardia is not a dangerous condition and would not need a pacemaker. Your doctor would have performed an echocardiogram to rule out any heart problems. I will suggest keeping a daily BP and heart rate log so your doctor can assess you better. Would encourage to hydrate well, consume balanced diet and exercise.
