A member asked:

Does a lung carcinoid have to be a certain size before t.surgeons can operate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes and no: How the surgeon finds and removes the nodule depends if the can feel it. What the surgeon typically does is deflate the lung and feels for the tumor. If they can feel it, then they try and remove it. Tumors less than a centimeter are hard to detect. Hope this helps.
