Sounds benign: Have you seen your doctor about this? You should. If your heart rate doesn't stay below 40 for minutes at a time, shouldn't cause any symptoms. The chest discomfort doesn't sound cardiac. The fact that heart rate increases normally with activity is a good sign. Discuss the possible need for a holter monitor with your doctor.
