A member asked:

It's been 2 weeks since i had 2 teeth extracted from my right side and 1 week for the left side. is it safe to use mouthwash now?

Yes: It is ok to start using mouthwash at this time. It will help to rinse out debris from the extraction sites and help healing.

Keep the area clean.: It is fine but choose a mouth rinse without alcohol so it won't dry your mouth. Your socket is not completely closed yet and you don't want anything that may interfere the normal process of healing. Warm water to dislodge any food that went inside the socket is better if the wound is still raw. Take care :).

Ask your dentist: If everything has been healing well, it should be fine. However, it's always best to ask your surgeon these questions as he\she knows your specific situation the best. Every dentist has different protocols and since your dentist is responsible for you and his treatment, run your question by him\her.

Sounds OK: It sounds like it should be ok, but ask your surgeon.
