Maybe...: This question would probably be better posed to your family doctor. Your thoracic surgeon is not a specialist in the liver. A ct scan can often be suggestive of lesions on the liver being cysts and nothing further may need to be done, but having a second set of eyes on it is not a bad thing.

Likely correct: If no chest cancer, if known for a while if ultrasound shows cysts then the surgeon has a high likelihood of correctness and will followup.
