Specializes in Thoracic Surgery

Depends: Thoracic surgeons are lung doctors. I presume you mean pulmonologists. Your care, including short term and longterm follow-up after major chest surgery should be coordinated amongst your specialists; i.e. Primarycare/family physician, surgeon, pulmonologist, oncologists, radiation oncologists, etc.... Each may have a role to play depending on your presenting condition.
