No: I don't know of any situation where an allergy or reaction to nipples of bottles causing respiratory infection in babies. However, if the baby is having silent aspiration, which can only be diagnosed with a modified barium swallow, then pneumonia can result from this. If your child is getting frequent resp. Infections, i would suggest having a modified barium swallow done.
