Many possible causes: There may be a number of conditions related to recurrent infections or chronic respiratory problems. It is important to see your physician to assess for aspiration, structural lung disease, cardiac disease or immune defects which may be related to these symptoms. Check for GERD: Kids shouldn't rattle. Should make sure gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) isn't contributing. Also immune work up for immunodeficiency is appropriate.
