Need more info: This treatment is last resort for intractable menieres. Sectioning of the nerve will cause persistent imbalance. Usually other treatments are used first such as diuretics, steroid or gentamicin perfusions of the inner ear. Section will not help vestibular migraine or chronic imbalance from inner ear weakness. Suggest see neurootologist.
