Doing what did not work before and expect it to now work seems unlikely and you know that. You may want to seek help with physical therapy that may be able to help you design exercises and strectches that may help in addition to other things to reduce need to always be on pain medication. I wonder why the surgery did not work.

Trans-cutaneous epidural steroid injections are of value if a nerve root compression is clearly evident. If you already possess post-operative scarring and arachnoiditis, is almost NO chance of success. Rather would heed advice for physical therapy, and learn McKenzie Back Exercises. Meditation and acupuncture might have added value.
