Stressful: You're in a very stressful situation. Perhaps you're having some difficulties in med school. Everyone has difficulties from time to time. It may be time to think about a less stressful occupation. This does not mean you're a failure. It may, however, indicate that you might be happier doing research or being an eye doctor, etc. It appears you are depressed. Recommend professional guidance.

Seek treatment. Just because you are depressed doesn't mean you can't get treatment and pursue your dreams as you improve. Don't throw in the towel now!
