Keep trying: "Many" doesn't necessarily mean "all". Directly ask the clinic you are thinking of. Also contact your public health department, community clinics, local hospitals, and local or state medical society for advice. I'll bet there are several places that would be eager for your services. They'll want to see evidence of a true desire to serve, not just helping your med school prospects.
