Depends on Norms: Pft normals are based on your age, height, weight, race with what is normal for this group. Normals change with age. What may be.Normal for you, could be different from published normals. With lung conditions, following the lung functions over time is often very useful. With pfts we often look at forced vital capacity (fvc), and various flow rates as well as the shape of the curves on graphing

Need more specifics: Normal values are based on age sex race weight and height. The specific numbers to look for based on predicted values for your variables. Generally the predicted normal and your actual reading is between 80-120 % of your normal value (fvc and fev1). Then the ratio of these is generally thought of 70 is normal. This is debatable based on new information that many people may be under/over DX copd.
