A member asked:

What symptom, problems, etc., present with cervical annular bulge and dehydrated cervical discs, and exactly what is this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Good question: Symptoms vary depending on level and severity of bulge etc. 1. Annular bulge is a contained disc hernation 2. Dehydrated disc is loss of water content in the disc( so the MRI sequence t2 looks darker). Symptoms can be: 1. Radiating pain in the arms, hands 2. Neck pain. 3. Severe stenosis associated with cervical disc can affect the spinal cord, causing difficulty walking/arm/hand weakness.
