A member asked:

Can a dehydrated reduced in height bulge back disc be healed and go back to normal??l4,l5- l5,s1 wide base disc bulge with posterior central disc protrusion, also t9,t10 wide base bulge disc. l5,s1 narrowing neural foramina with normal exiting root?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Back problems : Loss of the disc space is extremely common and exists with different degrees. I have seen thousands of people with it, and the vast majority have productive lives. Much more information is needed -there is no mention or how you feel or function which is much more important than an MRI. Most of the time back problems improve without advanced interventions even if the MRI does not change at all.
