Dried fruits: In general fresh fruits retain more nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals and flavanoids. Drying removes water from fruits so dried fruits are more concentrated with sugar and calories. Extra sweeteners like refined sugar or high-fructose corn syrup may be added to the dried fruits. So you need to practice portion control to avoid consumption of eccess calories. But they tend to be high in fiber!
