What are the health benefits and nutrition facts of "nungu fruit"(palmyra fruit) and the toddy from this tree wikipedia.org/wiki/borassus_flabellifer?

Can't recommend it: This is used by traditional healers in india and southeast asia. A quick look at the nih database showed the flour to contain some known spirostane neurotoxins, (paralyze rats; int j foo sci health 2004 & 2009), two articles suggesting it can improve glucose tolerance in rats, and one that it kills cell cultures. Nobody's writing about the fruit, which is eaten & seems harmless. That's all.
