Would the removal of screws & plate from foot that has had 3 surgeries be ok. i have pain 18 months later still.also swelling. thank you.

Hardware failure: Really not enough information to answer your question. In general, once bone healing is complete - hardware is redundant. Removal of hardware should be based on symptoms...Continued pain, swelling, failure of hardware, allergy to hardware, etc...
