Tmj or nose block: With sx descibed, consider clenching of jaw or middle ostia swelling leading to sinus drainage blockage.Allergist or ENT consult will help.

See neurologist: I would see a neurologist and have a full workup. It is possible you may have a condition called trigeminal neuralgia, which causes shooting pains in the face/jaw with no dental or facial infection/problem to blame.
