Difficult to tell : From your description, but it could be carpal tunnel syndrome. Show it to your doctor, he will figure it out for you.

Nerve entrapment: You should see a hand surgeon. This may be one sign of carpal tunnel syndrome, correctable surgically or remediable with support devices. It may be other things as well but you need to be examined after a detailed history of how you use your hands at work and play, etc. Hope this gets better soon.
