The most accurate: Test is a blood test. Physician-ordered comparative genomic hybridization, costs ~ $2, 000/person. Each putative father usually pays for his own & shares the cost of the newborn's test. Saliva testing by proprietary labs (e.g., 1-800-whosyourdaddy) are often inaccurate. If either putative father has a family history of an inheritable genetic disorder, his insurance may cover part of the cost.
