Contrary to internet buzz, there's probably little actual problem at all with biotin and the HIV antibody or AgAb tests. However, biotin's half life in the blood is 15 hours. (Two hours is the time to peak concentration.) If you want to avoid the theoretical issues, wait 3-4 half lives (2-3 days) before HIV testing.
