A member asked:

If i did a non invasive prenatal dna paternity test but i didnt know at the time that i had lost a twin or in the process of it, can the result be different?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The non invasive paternity testing relies on non cellular fetal DNA circulating in the mothers blood. Either/both twins would be expected to have enough of the same maternal and paternal material to establish paternity since both are assumed to arise from the same donor. I would confirm this with your physician.
