Multifocal pvcs in a structuraally normal heart are they dangerous?

Not simple: Some studies have shown increased incidence of sudden death in people with frequent pvc's. Structural abnormalities or coronary artery disease increase the risk. Treatment of asymptomatic patients with anti arrhythmic drugs has not shown to be beneficial, and some trials have shown increased mortality with treatment. Talk to your doctor if you have pvc's.

Not necessarily: Pvc"s by themselves may not cause any symptoms or affect heart function. However, multifocal pvc's could be signs of other heart problems such as coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy or possibly imbalance of minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc. If you have chest pain, dizzy spells, shortness of breath or other associated symptoms, see a doctor.
