A member asked:

In a structurally normal heart with no channelopathies and no ischemic disease, are multifocal pvcs more likely to lead into polymorphic vt or to lead into monomorphic vt?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PVC's: Having no structural heart abnormalities is reassuring, but if PVC's are more than 10% of your total heart beats in a 24 hour period it raises more concern and can,in time, cause a cardiomyopathy..I am more concerned with multifocal or polymorphic PVC's than unifocal or monomorphic ones. Certainly a cardiologist or EP specialist would be most qualified to evaluate and advise you.
