Eat less & exercise: The key to losing weight is not a temporary diet but permanent changes. Sugars & simple carbs from grains esp. Cause weight gain. I like dr. Start with lifestyle: One can try changing diet and exercise habits. Choose healthy foods and reduce the calorie intake. Make sure you watch what you're drinking too (soda, alcohol, etc). Exercise several times a week. One needs to burn more calories than she consumes. There are several apps or programs that can track calorie information to help. A primary care doctor can evaluate for medical or hormonal conditions.
