Have it checked: I assume you are refering to treatment of tmj. I have researched this topic and found that after time, they may wear, and can fragment. When they fragment, particles travel to lymph nodes and can affect other local areas such as hearing, localized inflammation etc etc. I would call and explain the problem to them.
