I think it's important for you to determine the nature of your cardiac rhythm when you're experiencing palpitations. This is done by your wearing an outpatient heart monitor and noting when you're feeling palpitations. Thyroid test is important also. You may be experiencing inappropriate sinus tachycardia. Until evaluated, lessen your caffeine & alcohol intake.

The first thing you probably should do would be to decrease the amount of coffee per day and increase hydration. The majority of times such palpitations are benign and they resolve per lifestyle modifications. In case they persist or worsen seeing your doc for possible workup/ recommendations would be best.
