A member asked:

Hepc , cirohsis, report shows portal vein is mildly prominent and measures 12.5cm. no evidence of thrombosis. how bad is it?

Well,: It is not the best of signs. You have portal hypertension. I hope you are under the care of a GI doctor even better a liver specialist aka as a hepatologist. Were you examined for signs of portal hypertension in your esophagus? If not, you should. Have you explored the possibility of a liver transplant. This is not my specialty so I am asking only from a theoretical point of view.
