Sore gums: The area around the extraction can be sore for more than a week it all depends how the tooth was extracted and if the gum was flapped back go back to the dentist and have it evaluated.

Extraction pain: Everyday after the extraction, you should improve and should have little pain after a few days. If after three or four days you start to get pain again, you could have a dry socket and must go back to the dentist.

Hi. I had my UR2 tooth removed 5 days ago, and a temp bridge fitted after extraction. Since then my gums and teeth are really sore, plus I get a really bad taste from the extraction site.
Had tooth extraction 2 days ago, no complications (molar, lower jaw). Most pain gone, gums look ok. How long until soreness gone and its all healed?
