Go back to surgeon : Stiches can come out anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks, especially if they are dissolvable. I would not worry too much, but you should go back to your surgeon to make sure he is comfortable with the way the surgical site is healing.

Wait about 3 weeks : Wait about 3 weeks to see if the tissue flap is due to swelling. If this flap of tissue does not reduce in size or resolve, have it checked by the dentist that did the extraction to see if tissue trimming is necessary.

Don't worry: It's normal for resorbable stitches, such as plain or chromic gut sutures, to fall out a few days after oral surgery, so don't worry. The flap that you feel will likely heal uneventfully. If you're concerned or in pain, you should return to see your oral surgeon for an evaluation.
