Proper diagnosis/car: Proper diagnosis and care. Halitosis is caused by a myriad of factors, any one of which could be responsible. Here is a short list: periodontal disease, certain medications, diet, dental caries, poor oral hygiene and more. Your best first option is to get your teeth cleaned and have a thorough exam by a dentist. Discuss your concerns and he/she will recommend a proper course of tx for you.
