Halitosis: The key to "curing" any chronic health issue is to determine the etiology of the problem. Halitosis may be caused by periodontal disease that should be treated by a good dentist and/or hygienist. In addition, halitosis can be caused by gastric issues that are unresolved, and sometimes by a persistent sinus infection or post-nasal drip. Make an appointment soon to determine the cause and remedy!

Perhaps, in a sense: (chronic) halitosis is not in itself a disease that can be "cured" as cancer with surgery or an infection with an antibiotic. There are many causes both dental and medical and you can have one or multiple causes and it can vary from time to time. Consult with both dentist and physician so you know cause(s) in your case and then do what you can on a daily basis to prevent and control.
