NMS: The most common cause of neuroleptic malignant syndrome is the use if antipsychotic and neuroleptics medication. The incidence depend on the report and is estimated to be between ".07 to 2.2%. I believed it can happen spontaneously without the trigger medication but its less common. A heat stroke may resemble nms as cases of malignant hyperthermia, thyroid storm and pheocromocytoma attack.

No: That is not cancer but a drug reaction syndrome that causes fever, muscle destruction, hypermetabolism and is very dangerous. But it is not cancer.
