Yes: If it lasts a short while. In my opinion, any tissue/muscle that is stretched beyond its usual capacity, will cause some pain/discomfort, which should not last more than 36-48 hours ( unless you stretch it much over it capacity & causing a pulled muscle), then it would for few weeks. Keep exercising to stretch till that limit, then over a time, its capacity would increase and pain would not occur.
