Sciatica?: A pain radiating from the buttock down the leg is called sciatica, and could be due to a herniated spinal disc, putting pressure on a nerve root. Could also be local muscle pain. Physical exam can elicit important signs- if exam is concerning for sciatica, an MRI might be needed to diagnose.
