Trying to find a diet for someone who has had most of colon removed and has diverticulitis. any ideas?

How do you know?: To help with that question, how much of the colon was removed, which portions are left, and how are they "put together"? How do you know they have diverticulitis? The best answer to this is to make an appontment with your doctor, otherwise the standard avoidance of nuts, seeds, and popcorn is appropriate but more specific data should be gotten from your personal physician.
