Confusion after CABG: Every now and then there are elderly patients who are confused after cabg. If organic causes are ruled out, most common cause is pain medications. People with preexisting Alzheimer's also tend to confused postoperatively.

Abnormal: But common anesthesia medication-narcotics sleep deprivation strange place, noises and interventions. Worse as patient is older. Goes away as family, place, friends, and time.
