Was this EKG done because you were having symptoms? Sinus rhythm is a normal heart rhythm. An echocardiogram will he more accurate than the EKG in assessing the size of the right atrium. Causes of right atrial enlargement include pulmonary artery hypertension, certain heart valvular abnormalities, certain congenital heart abnormalities such as interatrial septal defect.
