At what age does a baby grow teeth in the back of his mouth?

Primary molars: Children usually get their primary molars anywhere from 12-18 months of age. The sequence is usually the front four top and four bottom teeth will appear before any of the back teeth. Some children get teeth earlier or later than their peers. Check with your dentist if your child seems really delayed.

Up to age 3: Baby incisors in the front erupt between 6-18 months. Baby canines at about 18-24 months. 1st baby molars at about 2 years. 2nd baby molars at about 3 years. Timing of eruption varies widely. Permanent teeth begin to erupt about age 6-7, but begin forming before birth. Talk to your dentist about oral hygiene, sealants, Fluoride treatments, and ingested fluoride.
