Antibiotic course: You should finish the whole course of antibiotics. So what ever days was it prescribed for, take that many days.If it was prescribed for five days then finish the five days and if it was for seven days , then take it for seven days. Follow the prescription given to you by the dentist.

Antibiotics: Don't take old pills that you have lying around the house. Depending on the extent of the surgery and the presence or absence of pre-surgical infection, the Dentist or Oral Surgeon may make very specific antibiotic recommendations. Important that you take all of the prescribed pills, exactly as prescribed, until all are gone. Sometimes a 2nd course is required. Ask your treating practitioner.
