Pain medication: You will be given an appropriate mild to moderate to strong pain killer based upon your medical history and the degree of difficulty of the procedure. There are many to choose from and each doctor has his\her own preferences.

OTC & Rx medications: Prescription painkillers alone like Norco, Vicodin may not be as effective as an OTC combo like Advil or Tylenol (acetaminophen). Ask your dentist/surgeon for more information about pain control.
