A member asked:

What to do if infant got a cold/flu?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Totally possible: Infants have some minimal protection from their mother's antibodies when they are first born but, they are susceptible to viral infection just like the rest of us. This is why it is recommended to practice faithful hand hygiene when handling newborns and infants so that we don't share our germs with them and overwhelm their little immune systems. If your baby is ill, seek immediate care.
