I am a type 1 diabetic and have been for almost 16 years. are there any inpatient programs to help get things back on track?

DM 1: Seems like you need a sound primary care physician. Hospitalization is only indicated if things can't be manged on outpt basis.

Real life: Inpatient is not a good idea because even if you get it under control, you won't be under the same setting once you leave the hospital. It's best to work with your diabetes care team in real life setting. Keep close contact with your doctor, fax log sheets, see diabetes educator/dietician, get a refresher course... These are things that are more realistic.
